Originally from Snoqualmie, Washington, I left the Northwest to compete in track and field for UCLA where I participated in many national events and placed third in the PAC-10 for pole-vault. I earned a B.A. from UCLA’s School of Film and Television where I received the Alan S. Jacobsen Award, Peter Stark Award, and Rocco Viglietti Award for achievement in directing and my thesis film, Sand Dune Waterworms, won the School’s Spotlight Award.
After UCLA, I directed my first feature, Visioneers, starring Zach Galifianakis and Judy Greer. Visioneers won a number of awards and was released in 2009. I’ve since directed a variety of narrative and branded content and have multiple features I’m trying to get made.
I’m always on the lookout for good projects to direct, but spend most of my free-time struggling with the fact that I’ll never be a pro-snowboarder, golfer, or pole-vaulter.
